Jesus' birth was accompanied by a sign in the sky, one that had been foretold long ago. Some Magi, or wise men, understood its meaning. They came to Jerusalem and asked, “Where is the One who has been born king of the Jews? We saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him.” (MT 2:2)

God chose not to announce the birth of His Son on earth with trumpets or great fan fare. Only those who were diligently looking and waiting – and learning the scriptures – would have a clue that the time of His visitation had come.
